Iomega
prepares wireless NAS device |
Iomega
is expected to ship its first network-attached storage (NAS)
device based on wireless networking technology.
The NAS 100d will be marketed as
an entry-level NAS device designed for small office and home
office users looking for an inexpensive storage device to put on
their networks.
The NAS appliance will come in
160Gbyte and 250Gbyte configurations and will have built-in
support for the 802.11g wireless networking standard.
It will feature a simple user
interface that will allow users to do automatic back-ups and
"drag-and-drop" file restoration. The
device will also come with two USB 2.0 ports so that additional
storage can be added to the appliance. |
